Fancy giving fate a hand?

UK top blogger and writer Jason Shaw is about to give up control of his life and place it firmly in the hands of you,  the blog reading web surfers.    In a new feature,  Jason, a former radio presenter, agony uncle and all round nice guy is  starting small, but aiming big.     On his blog,  www.seafrontdiary.com  he’s starting to pose little question about his life, then getting his readers to make the decision on what he does or where he goes!    He’s calling this new fun and somewhat brave feature,  ‘Give Fate a Hand’

So far its simple things like where he goes to finish writing his second book, or if he should shave all his hair off,  but Jason hopes by the end of the year,  it will really take off and the blog readers will be in  charge of almost every decision of his life!

His latest posting is about a three month break toward the end of the year,  where he should stay to finish his book.

He writes    “I’m planning my next little holiday; I need to be away for a couple of months to finish writing the first book. Now, the thing is, where I go is undecided, I have no clue where to go, will it back to Florida, will it be up to Scotland or way way down to Australia? The choice as they say in all the best quiz shows, is yours. Yep, that’s right, it’s up to you, you are giving fate a hand, yes you, my loyal and lovely reader, it’s all up to you. You’re in charge; you have to give fate a hand and suggest where I should go for two months from about April onwards, so put your thinking caps on and come up with a suggestion or two. Now, I’m not a rich person, in fact I’m poor as hell, so no place too darn expensive, unless of course you’re offing a place to stay with your suggestion!

Brighton Pride is failing the gay community

Brighton Pride is failing the gay community says the ex chair.
The former chair of Brighton Pride has said that the festival needs a “radical” overhaul.
David Harvey, who ran the event between 2003 and 2006, said Brighton Pride was too straight, that LGBT people did not feel safe there and and that trustees could be breaching Charity Commission rules by “running a party disguised as a charity”.

Mr Harvey managed to attain charitable status for the festival in 2004 but says that the current management of the event means it is failing.

In an open letter and speaking to PinkNews.co.uk, he claimed that Pride should be commercialised to allow it to start supporting community activities again and said he and Brighton Liberal Democrat leader Paul Elgood would be writing to the Charity Commission to raise concerns.
