US TV Channel Bans TV Show

NBC Utah affiliate KSL-TV has pulled the upcoming Ryan Murphy sitcom "The New Normal" from its fall lineup, calling the series as "inappropriate on several dimensions."
The show, which follows a mother who serves as a surrogate for a Los Angeles-based gay couple, stars Justin Bartha, Ellen Barkin and Georgia King. It's set to debut on Sept. 11 on NBC at 9:30 p.m. ET. But Utah's KSL-TV doesn't want anything to do with it during "family viewing-time."

The Sun's screaming gayness.

Gay kiss shocks Big Brother
UK newspaper

Screams the UK's homophobic Sun newspaper,  and leads with the story that two of the males in this years ratings flopping Big Brother had a brief kiss,  yet as the sun puts it,  "The lads snogged during a boozy game of 'Gay Chicken' – leaving the rest of the gang wondering about their sexuality."
The game involved the housemates seeing how close they got to kissing each other before one of them said chicken – but the pair gave each other a smacker instead of stopping.
It was a simple little kiss,  no tongue twiddling,  not tonsil licked or  anything of that kind, in fact I've seen more passionate kisses from maiden aunts!

Yet according to The Sun this was a shocker,  The Daily Mail tagged it as "a crazy evening"  when Aaron and Tom shared a surprise kiss,  but made little of the fact of a naked conger dance earlier.

Words can kill.

Middle school can be a place for learning, discovery and friendships. But for some kids, it can also be a place of cruelty, loneliness and fear.
Aislyn Doeur: "You're supposed to feel comfortable. And like you're scared to walk in the hallways. ...I was scared that I wasn't going to have any friends."
Jacob Kaufman: "It just got to that feeling of desperation, and pretty much hopelessness."
Genesis Johnson: "I was so scared I didn't know what to do. I didn't know who to go to."
Johnny Cagno: I wasn't accepted at school. I couldn't be who I am. ...I was very, very scared to go to school every day.

Murphy advised that the top three stars will leave he show a the end of the third series,  mentioning the characters they play will graduate school "You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”  Murphy said.

Andrew Hayden Smith

Andrew Hayden Smith

Meeting someone off the TV that you fancied during your childhood is one thing. Interviewing such a person is quite another.

Especially when you used to emblazon his boyish, dimpled face in Smash Hits-poster form across your bedroom wall. Especially when that person is hot gay actor Andrew Hayden Smith. On the afternoon of his GT shoot I promised myself, in the name of professionalism, that I’d do everything within my power to disguise the massive crush I’ve had on the Byker Grove, CBBC and Doctor Who star for the last one, two, three…oh, 15 years. But inevitably this wasn’t to be easy.
