Writer Suffers Vicious Gay Bashing In Dublin.

 

The Irish police,  the Gardai,  are searching for two man who they believe carried out a vicious and savage gay bashing on a popular and well known media personality and writer.

The attack which has left the victim deeply traumatised took place on 8th June at around 3am in the city centre.    The Gardai report the the pair threatened the journalist with a knife, punching him in the face and kicked him before stealing his iPhone worth around €400.

According to reports that 46-year-old was eating at a city-centre restaurant when he was approached by the two thugs who engaged him in conversation for some time before threatening and attacking him.    The journalist then ran from the popular restaurant, but the pair chased him further down the street before tripping him up before attacking him a second time.

"They asked him where he had been earlier that night and he told them that he was at a gay event in the Dandelion bar." a police officer told local newspaper the Herald.

According to the newspaper, ‘a senior source said today: "This is being treated as a homophobic attack -- gardai are 100pc confident of that."

Detectives are investigating if these two thugs are responsible for a number of other robberies in the area in recent months.
