It appears that marriage equality now has enough votes to pass the Maryland Senate with the inclusion of Senators Katherine A. Klausemeier, Edward J. Kasemeyer, and probably Joan Carter Conway. With regards to Conway, she has said she would vote for the bill if it looked like it would pass, which it now does. Four other state senators have not declared their position or are still undecided. According to Klausmeier “I think it’s just the fair thing to do.”
