Donald Trump said Monday that he would oppose gay marriage as part of his campaign platform seeking the Republican presidential nomination.
“New York is a place with lots of gays, and I think it’s great. But I’m not in favour of gay marriage,” Mr. Trump said in an interview on Monday.
The New York Republican made the comment just days after an interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan in which he discussed in depth the possibility of running for president. Mr. Trump has said in the past that he is considering a run for president and that he will announce his decision following the last episode of The Apprentice.
Could we really expect anything more from a Republican with more money than sense?
Around the world the belief in the American political system is being damaged by the buying of power and position. Since the results in the US midterm elections saw a large number of wealthy Republican’s rise to power after using millions of dollars of their own money. One example is Florida’s Rick Scott, who spent over $12 million of his own cash to get elected.
He’s so against gay equality that he’s doing all he can to rid the state of ‘Undesirable inhabitants’ as he recently described gay people. The religious and corrupt Scott ignored all requests for interview from the gay media during his campaign is trying to get all Medicaid and Medicare payments stopped for people with HIV/AIDS in the state.
If Trump does decide to run for the Republican nomination for President, you can guarantee he’ll use his business and personal fortune to ensure victory. Buying your way in to politics is, it seems the only way to do it in American now, and thus making it the laughing stock of the world.
