Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has long made equal rights for LGBT Americans a legislative focus and her efforts to the repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, were instrumental in ending the policy that banned openly gay and lesbian servicemenbers last year.
Now New York’s Junior Senator has yet again come out supporting LGBT citizens and their rights, by sending a letter to New York State lawmakers urging them to end the unfair treatment of LGBT New Yorkers and allow gay couples to marry in that state.
