Catholic Priests Exposed

A whole new  scandal  has erupted regarding the Catholic Church in Italy following a magazine article on Friday that apparently shows  photographs of gay priests attending gay nightclubs, dabbling in a bit of casual sex!

A journalist from the conservative Panorama magazine,  owned by the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, used a sneaky  hidden camera to record interviews with some gay priests.  These three priests are claimed to have introduced the journalist to the gay clubs that they are regulars of and also allowed the journo  to film their sexual encounters with strangers, including according to the magazine, one inside  a church building.

One of the priests, called Paul is said to have celebrated Mass in the morning before driving the two  hired escorts to the airport, following a part the night before!

In a statement on Friday, the Rome diocese said that the vast majority of the 1300 priests in Rome were truthful to their vocations and of course  "models of morality for all." they claimed.  However they also ordered any homosexual priests who are living double lives to come out of the closet and get out of the priesthood.  A  senior source from within the Vatican said "This is the usual silly season rubbish to attract readers during the quiet summer months.  There is no proof that the people involved are from the clergy."

"By day they are regular priests, complete with dog collar, but at night, it's off with the cassock as they take their place as perfectly integrated members of the Italian capital's gay scene."  screams the magazine titles.

Pope Benedict XVI instructed in 2005 that actively gay priests should be barred from seminaries,  he's also said  gay marriage is an "insidious and dangerous threat to the common good".

Just how two gay people confirming their love, their commitment to each other can be so dangerous to the entire Catholic church is way beyond my understanding.
