Kiss The Groom!
There could be trouble ahead for Irish artist Kevin Sharkey, whose unveiled a new painting of the Pope in a rather un-catholic situation.
'You May Now Kiss The Groom' by Kevin Sharkey is to go on display in Dublin at the end of the month and features the Pope, carrying out a gay wedding in church! It's sure to court controversy and attract hatred and outrage among the strong catholic majority of Dublin's population and the greater catholic church.
Mr Sharkey, whose 49 and bisexual is no stranger to controversy over his work, there was some public outrage last year over his image of former glamour model Katie Price merged with Moors murderer Myra Hindley.
He told reporters that his latest idea came after seeing a news report where the the Pope had called gay marriage a "dangerous threat" to the common good.
The Pope has previously launched heavy verbal attacks against gays, gay marriage, banning openly gay groups from entering the Vatican and even criticizing the gay rights provisions in the Equality Act in the UK.
