Iowa Conservatives Ask 2012 Candidates To Pledge Opposition To Gay Marriage

The Christian conservative group The Family Leader is asking Republican Presidential candidates to pledge their opposition to gay marriage, or they wont get the groups support!

The group's CEO, Republican Bob Vander Plaats,  unveiled The Marriage Vow: A Declaration of Dependence Upon Marriage and Family  at The Iowa state capitol building on Thursday .at 11AM.

the pledge says the candidate must support for the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), the 1996 law that bars federal agencies from recognizing the legal marriages of gay and lesbian couples, opposition to gay marriage laws.  Candidates are also asked to pledge fidelity to their spouses,  which may prove difficult,  according to research, a republican politician is 7 times more likely to have extra marital affaires then democratic politicians. The

The incredible report,  the pledge also includes a section about fiercely defending the first amendment of the rights of Religious Liberty and Freedom of Speech for heterosexuals! 

Vander Plaats spearheaded a vicious campaign in Iowa to rid any official who supported equality or same sex marriage from office.
