Elton John Sells Out

It seems like a strange friendship,  an unlikely pairing,  the homophobe and the gay singer, but that's exactly what's just happened on Saturday night in Palm Beach.

Sir Elton John,  the singing sensation performed at Rush Limbaugh wedding,  his 4th.  Limbaugh is a well known and very outspoken conservative commentator in the US and is a very vocal opponent of gay marriage and gay rights.

Elton of course has been 'married' to partner David Furnish for a long time now,  they were one of the first gay couples to take advantage of the civil partnership law.   It's been reported that Elton picked up $1 million for the bash,  however his spokesman would only confirm the Elton did perform at the wedding.

Reaction from fans around the world to John's new role as 'wedding singer'  shows disappointment and bewilderment.

"I don't know who is the bigger hypocrite"  Cary.

"Way to sell out the gay community for money you don't need Elton"   Joshua.

"I used to have great respect for Elton John,  but he's just a piano player for hire, he'll play for anyone as long as the pay is right"  Max.

"I think it's disgusting, he should have more integrity"  Maggie.

"I'm in no rush to see of hear from Elton every again"  Stephen.

"Sell Out, Sell Out, Sell Out,  no other words to describe it really"  Bernie T.

It's the 4th wedding for the  59 year old  Limbaugh,  who met his latest bride Kathryn Rogers six years ago during his third divorce!!

I'm thinking it's a rather odd choice for EJ,  but big sums of money can often make people do things that wouldn't ordinarily do.
