Philip Lardner - Homosexuality is wrong!

"Homosexuality is not normal"  according to a Scottish politician.

Philip Lardner,  who is standing for election as an MP in the Scottish area of  North Ayreshire & Arun  in the forthcoming UK General Election, posted  homophobic remarks  on his website.

The Conservative party have acted quickly and suspended the  possible candidate after he described homosexuality as "not normal" and said that parents and teachers had a right to reject to children being taught about gay equality.     He also  said that Section 28 (A conservative introduced law in the 80's that banned the mention or 'promotion' of homosexuality in any form in any school, or government funded building) had been correct, adding that "most" people agree that homosexuality is wrong.

Andrew Fulton, who is the Conservatives' Chairman in Scotland, describing  the comments  as "deeply offensive and unacceptable".

Yet,  it;s not the first time,  Lardner has been been outspoken i his views,  during the summer of 2008,  he was also  suspended from the party when he said  the racist former leader of Rhodesia Ian Smith was his hero.

Mr Lardner, who claims in his website that he is  "the voice of common sense"  stands by what he said, "I will always support the rights of homosexuals to be treated within concepts of (common-sense) equality and respect, and defend their rights to choose to live the way they want in private, but I will not accept that their behaviour is 'normal' or encourage children to indulge in it."

He said: "I believe ordinary people are sick and tired of political correctness. This is still a broadly Christian country, and I believe parents should have the right to oppose the promotion of homosexuality in schools. See him on STV.
