Fresh on the news that Elton John and his life partner David Furnish have had a baby with a surrogate mother over in Los Angeles, comes plans for a special gay surrogacy centre. The news reported in today’s Telegraph has been greeted with muted optimism from the gay community.
“Whilst anything that makes it easier for us to approach the possibility of surrogacy is welcome, such high profile couples as Elton and David and the formation of a special ‘gay’ centre, only go to highlight and profile this as something strange, odd or news worthy, rather than the normal advancement for happy family life” Peter of Brighton said.
