Looks at news that reaches us from far over seas, some places in the Pacific to be exact.
Tim a 22 year old student at the University of Hawaii - Manoa. For he is 'SpeedoStudent1' likes to show off and as the name suggests, he's got a thing for Speedos!
Very late last year he started his own blog, an outlet if you will for his love of all things Speedo, a blog pretty much like any other, where he posted pictures of himself in his underwear and his speedos. However, the toned 22 year old has created a bit of a controversy just recently with his saucy antics, he posted a jerk off video on his Xtube channel shot in a classroom at the university on 28th February!
I think this is a little naughty, but fun and harmless, however needless to say, it didn't ahem go down at all well with others.
The university student paper published this -
"A UH student has been endangering students by leaving his body fluids on desks in many classrooms. His blog, Hawai'i Speedo Student, shows pictures and videos of himself masturbating in buildings such as Kuykendall, Moore, Webster, Physical Science, Watanabe and possibly more. He is currently being investigated for violating student conduct codes. Please take appropriate precautions like disinfecting desks and washing hands frequently. He is self-described as 5 foot 7 inches with frizzy blond hair, blue eyes and a slim build. Do not attempt to approach the student. If you notice him or anyone else exhibiting sexually deviant and psychotic behavior, call Campus Security at xxx-xxx-xxxx"
The controversy kind of really took off from there, the story has been reported on various websites and blogs, he's even been interviewed by legendary Brent Corrigan - who asked him what his first thoughts were after reading the above statement in the student paper.
"Pure shock at first. I was stunned by how arrogant and presumptuous it was, by the number of value judgments the paper made right there without even batting an eye. After a few re-readings, I also realized that it was tremendously inaccurate. Whoever had written that article apparently hadn’t read my blog very thoroughly, otherwise they would not have accused me of jerking off in multiple classrooms. It was probably the most intolerant piece of reporting, if you can call it reporting, that I’ve ever seen. Even more importantly, the paper shouldn’t have even had the information that I was under investigation. That information was protected under state law and breaking confidentiality is a crime" Tim replied
The paper has since published the following retraction and apology.
--"Ka Leo apologizes for and retracts as inaccurate the following statements that were published in the Thursday, March 4 Campus Beat, regarding the student whose blog was discussed in one of the reports:
“... endangering students ...” There has been no such finding by the UH administration that there has been any endangerment, only an investigation into a possible violation of student conduct codes.
“... desks in many classrooms ... masturbating in buildings ...” This statement involving multiple classrooms is an inaccurate conflation of the material found on the blog, where a clear distinction between photos and a single video in one classroom is made.
“Do not attempt to approach the student.” This suggested that the student represents a physical danger to other students, a claim for which the paper provided no evidence.
“... sexually deviant and psychotic behavior ...” Ka Leo has no medical qualifications to make such a judgment.
The definition of paraphilia originally was included in the online edition. Again, the paper has no qualifications to make such a judgment. The placement of the article within the “Campus Beat” section suggested that a crime was committed. Campus Security is not investigating the action in question as a crime. The paper expresses its regrets to both the student in question and to the campus community, which may have been unnecessarily alarmed by the report"
So why does a student start up a blog where he posts his naked or near naked form in loads of places around campus?
Right after I came out, I discovered that I enjoyed showing off. I’ve done photography as a hobby off and on in the past, and I ended up taking a few pictures of me and posting them on one or two gay personals sites. The responses were very encouraging, and I started doing it a little bit more, but then there were limits on how many pictures and videos I could post on those sites. So at the beginning of the year I made the decision to start the blog, where I could permanently store all the stuff I made. It would also be a chance for me to let more of my personality shine through, maybe give me a chance to talk about things that I wanted to. Additionally, I’m very much into speedos both sexually and non-sexually, but there isn’t a great deal of porn out there that caters to speedo lovers. So in that sense I was filling a gap as well" He told Brent Corrigan on Brent's blog.
what did you expect to happen?
I did consider the possible consequences beforehand. Honestly, I didn’t expect much to happen at all. Given the target audience for my blog, I thought there would be very few students here who were ever likely to see it. Even if they did spread it around to their friends, I doubted that anyone would really care. My perception of college society was that it had moved beyond repressions about sex and display, and that no one would find anything especially unusual or noteworthy in what I did. Especially given that sex happens in semi-public spaces on campus all the time, my actions weren’t especially outstanding.
What is it about Speedo’s that turns you on so much?
For starters, I guess, they’re really fun to wear. They feel great and everything is technically concealed but still pretty obvious. Nearly naked is even sexier than naked to me, and speedos are the perfect way to make that happen. Also, they’re usually associated with swimmers in my mind, who are the hottest group of guys there is – smooth, slim and tan?
I wonder what's in store for Tim, a long and fruitful career in porn? will he see the year out at UH? Is he going to become the next Brent? Will he be a role model for horny students all over the world - and will there be a mass out pouring of classroom cum shots? I have no idea, except I can pretty much guarantee we'll see more of Tim The Speedo Student.
I thought tugging the old todger in a classroom was a pretty unusual place, not quite the norm, but perhaps it is, so, I asked a few guys about the oddest places they've had a play!
