US presidential hopeful Rick Santorum Doesn’t Like Gays or Equality

He’s seen as the big Republican presidential hopeful,   many think he’s got more chance than Palin or McCain,  but  Rick Santorum is no friend to the gay community,   nope,  he rather hates us, and he doesn’t like equality either,  nor does he like helping those most in need.

The Republican  has a track record of saying anti-gay remarks told a Iowa, Lyon County  dinner this week that gay rights campaigners were deliberately trying to undermine religion.    “The reason the Left has gone after same-sex marriage is because it’s a two-fer”  he said, “When you redefine marriage, you cheapen marriage. You make it into something less valuable, less special … [and] it is a sure bet that will undermine faith.”

Back in 2003, Santorum was even more outspoken in his hate of the gay community,  he compared homosexuality to incest and said people should not have a right to privacy with respect to sexual acts   -  “[I have] a problem with homosexual acts, as I would with what I would consider to be acts outside of traditional heterosexual relationships . . . if the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery.”

During this weeks dinner,  he also took a pot shot at those sections of society most in need,  he sniped at government assistance programmes and ended his speech by asking the audience: “Please join me in saving America.”

Save America?   It’s people like Santorum in government that will spell the death of America.
