Two gay men were verbally abused by a busker using a PA system in Trafalgar Square last week, reports the UK’s Pink News site.
At lunchtime last Thursday, Paul Jorgensen and Gareth McCallion were crossing Trafalgar Square in central London when a busker targeted and verbally abused them using homophobic language. As the busker was using a Public Address System, his verbal abuse of the couple was heard by the crowds basking in the sunshine in one of the capital’s busiest squares.
Mr Jorgensen initially responded by calling the busker a homophobe before approaching a member of the police and having the busker arrested and charged with a hate crime.
