Burger King To Pay $3 million After Anti Gay Attack

 

 

There are smiles in New Jersey USA this week,   it comes after a  gay couple  have been awarded a massive $3.15 million pay out after being attacked by employees at a local Burger King restaurant.

The jury’s verdict follows an incident in July 2007, when Peter Casbar, 43, and Noel Robichaux, 46, became involved in a dispute with a male member of staff at the restaurant.

When another employee called them “faggots,” the couple chose to leave, but were then chased by the two men, who beat them, spat on them and continued to verbally assault them.

Speaking on behalf of the couple, lawyer James F. Fine said: “It was devastating to them.    “We assert this was a gay bashing. They thought they were going to die.”

Angel Caraballo and Christopher Soto have since pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in connection with the attack.
