Even before it was broadcast there was much hype and controversy regarding the new UK Channel 5 reality show. Candy Bar Girls has already had complaints about it’s trail, which are being investigated, the first full episode of the reality show aired on TV last night.
The reaction was pretty well mixed, many viewers went online to say how good or bad the reality programme was “cringe worthy”, “a total letdown” and “truly awful” are just some of the comments from viewers.
People from Diva magazine the UK’s leading lesbian lifestyle are featuring the stars of the show on the cover of their most recent issue. The show centres around the lives of a group of London based lesbians popping in and out of Candy bar!
“It was awful, utterly awful” Lesbian Jo told us today, disheartened by the show. “It was a great opportunity to highlight the real side of lesbian life in the capital, but its been wasted. I can think of hundreds of better, more interesting people they could have featured”
