Chaz Bono plans to marry his girlfriend in Palm Springs

 

 

Chaz Bono, transgender son of Cher and Sonny Bono, plans to marry his girlfriend Jennifer Elia in Palm Springs, this summer.

 

 

The news of his impending nuptuals comes just a couple of days after he announced his engagement during an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN earlier this week.

"We've been engaged actually for two years," he said. "We're big supporters of marriage equality and that's kind of weird now to be able to do that.

"I would say we'll do it within a year, definitely. Not to make excuses, but we went through a lot. I transitioned. She went to grad school. Then, you know, we were making the film. And I wrote the book.
"It was a lot. Now I feel like once this is over, we can sit down and plan a wedding."

Now, he claims that the pair will wed in California's Palm Springs and wants his stepmother, Rep. Mary Bono Mack, to officiate.
