Fox News’ Obsessed “Gay Indoctrination”

Fox News’ anti-LGBT bias isn’t exactly a well-kept secret in the USA. The Rupert Murdoch owned network has a long history of smearing the LGBT community and providing hate group leaders with national platforms to spew their anti-gay propaganda. Fox television hosts have compared same-sex marriage to incest and polygamy as well as marriage between humans and a number of different animals, reports Equality Matters.

No Gay Marriages On US Bases

The changing face of equality in America shows no sign of faltering, politicians  voted to slow the new policy allowing gays to serve openly in the military, backing a measure to ban chaplains from performing same-sex marriages on military bases regardless of a state's law.

The amendment to the defense spending bill passed on a 236-184 vote yesterday. Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.) said military bases shouldn't be used "to advance a narrow social agenda."     So military chaplain's cant do gay marriages, or rather the forces cant spend money on giving them training to do such thing.  Had they been asked?

Fear vs. Reality

Coming out is something I don’t remember very well because it went smoothly. What I remember more is the time before I came out, the irrational and negative years of self-hatred and being fearful of what would happen if/when I confirmed to people that I was gay.

I didn’t plan to come out, a few days after I turned 16 my mum asked me if I was gay and I responded truthfully. She told the family which meant no awkward conversation and nobody in my family has really mentioned it to me since then, they are all silent accepting including my closed-minded farther. A few weeks later I started college, unlike school the people there didn’t ask about my sexuality or care about it. It was a fresh start for me, I decided not to hide my sexuality and be truthful about it when it came up in conversation. So the only person I feel that I have properly come out to in my life is my mum.
